God’s Plans – Not Mine!

Good work.jpgSome days I struggle with what God’s plan is for me.  I have never had a big “I want to be THIS when I grow up” moment.  I honestly still have no idea what I want to be when I grow up.  I am always anxiously awaiting hints and clues of what God has designed for me in this life.  But the good news is always waiting in God’s word.  Philippians 1:6 says “The One who began a good work in you will carry it on until it’s completed.”

Therefore, I don’t have to worry about what I am going to do for the rest of my life.  All I have to do is live right now in this moment and be a good steward of what God has given me today.  God has already changed my life immensely and I can trust in Him that He will continue to refine me and show me the person He has made me to be.

If you’re like me and wonder what God’s plans for you – have faith!  Jeremiah 29:11 says “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”  God loves us so much that He has a future planned for us that is better than we could ever even try to figure out.  We just have to stop getting in His way and be obedient to what He is asking us to do.

Prayer:  Father, thank you for loving me and having such a great plan for my life.  Help me to focus on right now and to trust You with my future.  Help me to be obedient in everything You ask me to do so I can live out Your plan for me.  Amen.
